On January 29, 2024, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei called on Deputy Foreign Minister of Kuwait H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Alahmad Alsabah. They exchanged opinions on China-Kuwait relations and bilateral friendship and cooperation in various fields.

Sheikh Jarrah reaffirmed at the meeting that Kuwait supports the one-Chine policy. He stressed that the leaders of Kuwait and China attach high importance to enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields and that Kuwait will work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders and strive for greater progress in China-Kuwait strategic partnership.

Following the meeting, a news report was released on the official portal of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and its social media account to reiterate Kuwait’s support for the one-China policy.
