On February 5, 2024, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei went to the residence of the 24th batch of the China Medical Team to Kuwait to visit the team members. Hu Hanming, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, accompanied him during the visit.

Ambassador Zhang said that since 1974, groups of Chinese medical workers have travelled all the way here to carry out their mission despite hardships. They have been working tirelessly in a way to carry forward the spirit of China medical team. He encouraged the team members in service to forge ahead with their mission and continue to break new ground and deliver benefits to the local people with their medical expertise. He also expected them to promote Chinese culture and tell genuine and engaging Chinese stories with concrete actions. Furthermore, Ambassador Zhang talked with the team members about their work and life in Kuwait and extended his new year greetings to them as well as their family members at home.

Members of the medical team thanked the Embassy for its care, saying that they feel proud to be part of the team and will make due contributions to enhancing bilateral friendship with their mission in mind.
