On February 7, 2024, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei met with a delegation of the China Association of Inventions (CAI) that was visiting Kuwait to participate in the 14th edition of the International Invention Fair of the Middle East (IIFME). Hu Hanming, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, was present at the meeting.

Ambassador Zhang extended a warm welcome to the association that led a group to the exhibition. Noting the long-lasting friendship between the two nations, he said, guided by head-of-state diplomacy, China-Kuwait strategic partnership has showed continuous growth over the years and bilateral cooperation also has kept deepening in various fields. Bringing Chinese inventions and new technological products to Kuwait and even the Middle East will enable the local communities to see and feel for themselves the development achievements made by China and help expand our mutually-beneficial cooperation to new fields. He hoped that these inventions will deliver greater tangible benefits to people around the world.

Vice Chairman of CAI Mr. He Zhenfu thanked the Embassy for its care and support. He provided information on the association’s participation in the fair and the exchanges with their local counterparts, saying that CAI gets good results at this fair and is intended to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with Kuwait and other Middle East countries.
