Ambassador Li Minggang Gives Online Lecture at Mubarak Al-Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College

On 22nd March 2021, Ambassador Li Minggang, at the invitation of the Mubarak Al-Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College of Kuwait (MAJCSC), gave a virtual lecture on the development and ruling progress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China’s achievements on eradicating poverty, China’s foreign policy and China-Kuwait relations, attended by MAJCSC Commandant Brigadier Talab Al Fleej, and over 60 teachers and students of the College.

 

 

Ambassador Li noted that this year marks the centenary of the founding of the CPC. Since its founding, the CPC has remained true to its original aspiration to seek benefits for the Chinese people and realize the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. After the founding of New China,under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people,through their hard work, have achieved the rarely seen miracles of rapid economic growthand sustained social stability, and contributed significantly to world peace and development.In February this year, President Xi Jinping solemnly declaredthat China has scored a complete victory in its fight against extreme poverty, which is a landmark achievement in the history of China.

Ambassador Li also introduced the important propositions of upholding multilateralism and building a community of a shared future for mankind put forward by China, affirming that China will remain a steadfast supporter of multilateralism, continue to take an active part in international cooperation on fighting COVID-19, implement a win-win strategy of opening-up, and promote a new type of international relations. Li reviewed the progress of the past five decades of China-Kuwait relations and suggested the future prospect. China is ready to work with Kuwait to achieve greaterdevelopment of China-Kuwait strategic partnership in the new era.

Ambassador Li also answered questions from the participants on China-GCC relations, BRI cooperation between China and regional countries, China's green development path and so forth. Participants expressed their appreciation for the lecture, which helps them enhance their understanding about China.

 

 

The Mubarak Al-Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College is Kuwait’s most famous military academy and important institution for international military exchanges, where most Kuwaiti cadets are Lieutenant Colonel-rank officers. There are also foreign military students from other countries studying at the College.
