Ambassador Li Minggang Meets with Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Majdi Al-Dhafiri

On 21st April 2021, Ambassador Li Minggang met with the Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Majdi Al-Dhafiri to discuss a number of topics concerning China-Kuwait relations.

 

 

Ambassador Li said that with the personal commitment and guidance of the two heads of state, China-Kuwait relations have witnessed rapid development, in addition to smooth progress in bilateral cooperation in various fields. In face of the coronavirus pandemic, the two countries have stood in solidarity and supported each other to tide over the difficulties. China stands ready to work with Kuwait and take the 50th anniversary of China-Kuwait diplomatic relations as an opportunity to deepen the traditional friendship, strengthen integration of development strategies, and strive for more outcomes in China-Kuwait strategic partnership.

 

For his part, Ambassador Majdi said that over the past 50 years, Kuwait and China have always understood, respected and supported each other. China’s active support in Kuwait’s epidemic response has fully demonstrated the genuine friendship between the two countries. Kuwait is keen on working with China hand in hand to achieve greater development in bilateral relations.

 

Both sides also discussed developments on the regional and international arenas.
