In the congratulatory messages exchanged between President Xi Jinping andHis Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the 50th anniversary of China-Kuwait diplomatic ties, it is underlined that both sides will carry forward the traditional friendship and deepen cooperation in various fields within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. As a Chinese old saying goes, sincerity is the key to a lasting friendship.Cultural exchanges are considered the most vivid manifestation of heart-to-heart exchanges between the peoples. The recent years have seen colorful and vibrant people-to-people exchanges between China and Kuwait with many highlights. As China and Kuwait celebrate the golden jubilee of bilateral relations, the brilliant intangible cultural heritage (ICH) elements from both countries, empowered by technology,"get together" online despite the great distance. This not only offers sincere wishes for the 50 years of genuine friendship between China and Kuwait, but also conveys the goodwill and firm belief of both sides to stand in solidarity in the time ofthe pandemic and continue to develop and consolidate the traditional friendship in the new era. It is believed that this virtual exhibition will contribute to fostering bilateral cultural exchanges and mutual learning, enhancing mutual understandings and appreciation between our two peoples, and cultivate more solid popular support for the in-depth development of the China-Kuwait strategic partnership.

Focusing on the magnificent intangible cultural heritage resources of both China and Kuwait, this virtual exhibition consists of four major sections, namely "Pearls of Silk Road - Envoy of Eastern Culture in Belt and Road", "Experience Nature in an Unfettered Heart - Elegant and Classical Chinese Life", "Inheriting Craftsmanship - Innovation Revives Traditional Know-how", and "Intangible Cultural Heritage from Kuwait".
